The National Democratic Congress Party (NDC) has since the declaration of the 2020 Elections results, believed have been rigged and flawed in favor of the ruling party has taken to the streets to demonstrate against the injustice on the part of the Electoral Commission.
Just 48 hours after the 2020 general elections, the Electoral Commission (EC) led by their Chairperson Jean Mensah declared the NPP and its Presidential Candidate Nana Addo as the President-Elect. And this didn’t go down well with the NDC. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) categorically refused to accept the results with the reason being that the results have been flawed.

The EC later came out to accept the fact that they did make a mistake in the total number of valid votes casted hence bringing out a new figure as the total number of valid votes.

The NDC led by their general secretary, Johnson Aseidu Nketiah aka General mosquito, and the National Director of communications for the party, Sammy Gyamfi in many of their organized press conferences called on the NDC fraternity to hit the streets and protest against the EC for robbing them of their victory.

The NDC Party fraternity of the Ho Central Constituency in the Volta region yesterday marched to the regional headquarters of the EC to submit their petition. The protesters who only wanted to submit their petition were denied access into the office of the EC by heavily deployed security officers.

After pouring some libation, one of the angry NDC demonstrators vanished into the Electoral Commissions Office to paste their petition on the notice board of the EC. He returned climbing over the gate.
