The book also alleges that Ann Skakel, sister of Ethel Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy’s widow, had an illegitimate child with Mr Fine. The book also claimed the issue caused a rift between the sisters at the time and Ethel Kennedy had to force then-Attorney General Bobby Kennedy to negotiate a quiet divorce settlement for McCooey in case it blew up into a career-destroying scandal.
