Anna Pearl (née Hite) was born on 14 October 1912, in Brunswick County, Virginia, USA to William Sidney Hite and Martha Alice Rice. According to a source, William married Martha and together, they had Anna Pearl and her siblings Lillie, William, James, Lillian, Burnett, Bernard, and Burtha.
After William Sidney Hite died, his wife Martha married Robert Willis Morgan. Anna Pearl Cosby didn’t reveal a lot about her childhood life and family history. She was a maid who got married to William Henry Cosby Sr. William Sr served as a mess steward in the U.S. Navy.
