Armed robbery keeps rising by the day with people losing their lives here and there in our beloved Ghana and it seems the security forces are just busy on roads checking driving licenses. At the later hours of Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the junction of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) popularly known as Tech junction in Kumasi, a man was attacked and robbed around 6:45 pm.
According to eyewitnesses, the man who was attacked and robbed was carrying a black school bag with a laptop in it and was looking for Bomso (a suburb of Kumasi around Tech junction) when some armed men (about 3 of them) attacked and robbed him of all his belongings.
According to the victim, he is not a resident of Kumasi but paid a visit to a friend in KNUST who said that he lives in a private homestel at Bomso. Upon arrival, he saw a young man whom he asked about the direction given him by his friend.
The young man told him that he knows the place and so he said he will help him get there. While they were walking, they reached a quite dark area and two other guys from no where joined them. They pulled a sharp knife and threatened him to be quiet else he will be killed.
They took everything from him, including his phone, money and everything inside the bag. After ceasing the things, they hit him to the ground and ran away.
