Benjamin Atkinson is the son of Rowan Sebastian Atkinson and his former wife Sunetra Sastry. Benjamin was born on 9 September 1993, in London, United Kingdom. He will be celebrating his 30th birthday in 2023, on 9 September. His parents met in the late 1980s. They got married on February 5, 1990, but their marriage ended on November 10, 2015.

Benjamin Atkinson’s parents Rowan Atkinson and Sunetra Sastry divorced after more than 20 years of marriage. There have been reports that claim that Rowan was having an affair with British comedian and actress Louise Ford while he was still married. Rowan and Louise’s relationship allegedly led to Rowan separating from his then-wife Sunetra.

Benjamin’s half-sister is Isla Atkinson (b. 2017). Isla is the daughter of Benjamin’s father Rowan and his partner, comedian and actress Louise Ford. Benjamin is the grandson of Eric Atkinson, a farmer and company director, and Ella May (née Bainbridge). Benjamin graduated from Exeter University and joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Benjamin Atkinson was accepted at Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst in 2016 and underwent 44-week military training. He chose a different career path in the British military. He didn’t pursue a career in the entertainment industry like his father Mr. Bean. Benjamin is an army officer. He was recruited in The British Gurkha brigade.

Benjamin Atkinson joined the Gurkha army in Nepal for a 10-week course that included learning about Nepal’s culture, and language. She also worked as a makeup artist for Mr. Bean Takes an Exam (1991), Mr. Bean Goes to a Première (1991), and Smack and Thistle (1991).
