Christopher “Kit” Carson was born in 1951 according to his father’s Wikipedia page however, other sources say he was born in 1950. Whatever the case may be, it’s obvious that he was born in the 1950s. He is the oldest child of Johnny Carson born John William Carson (October 23, 1925 – January 23, 2005), and his former wife Jody Morrill Wolcott.

Christopher’s father was a successful TV host, comedian, writer, and producer. Christopher has two younger brothers. His brothers are Richard ‘Ricky’ Carson (b. 1952) and Cory Carson (b. 1953). Christopher and his younger siblings Cory and Richard had a strained relationship with their famous father Johnny Carson.

Johnny’s lawyer and biographer, Henry Bushkin told Closer Weekly in 2019: “It was a tragic story of a very successful father who had children who never gave him anything to be particularly proud of. And I don’t think he ever did anything as a dad they were terribly proud of.” Johnny is said to have placed his showbiz career first before his family.

“All of Johnny’s kids suffered because of his devotion to his career. Maybe that was his first love,” former Tonight Show writer Mike Barrie once said. Christopher Carson is said to have worked as a professional golfer for several years. Per reports, although he tried making a living as a golf pro, it seems things didn’t work out for him. He was allegedly living off the money that his famous father had left him. Christopher is also a father. He has a daughter with his ex Tanena Love Green. Christopher’s daughter is “a biracial child” he had out of wedlock.

Christopher had refused to take care of his daughter but he started paying child support after a judge held him accountable. His daughter has been identified as Christal Love Carson. Christal’s mother is Tanena. Christopher ended his relationship with Tanena, leaving her and their then-unborn child after his father asked him to.

At the time, it was revealed that Christopher wasn’t working full-time yet he owned expensive cars which were gifts he received from his famous father. His ex Tanena said their daughter Christal is a “beautiful woman” who is “doing well”, adding, “She is going to be a doctor. She’s done four years in school and she plans on going back to get the other four years. I have funds set aside … No one has had to help us – only God. That’s all you need.”

What happened to Christopher Carson?

Johnny Carson’s son Christopher Carson may be living somewhere in the United States or not. His exact whereabouts remain unknown to the public. He has avoided the spotlight so much is unknown about his life at the moment. Christopher Carson is believed to still be alive as of 2023. Because there hasn’t been any news of him battling any health problems, it is assumed that he is healthy.

Christopher’s father Johnny Carson had a severe heart attack in 1999 at his home in Malibu, California, USA. He was hospitalized and underwent quadruple bypass surgery. In 2002, Johnny revealed that he had emphysema but denied he was terminally ill. He died on January 23, 2005, when he was 79 years old.

Johnny Carson died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles of respiratory failure arising from emphysema. He was cremated, and the ashes were given to his wife, Alexis Maas. There was no public memorial service.
