As the daughter of a famous musician, Lynn developed an interest in music at a very young age. Loretta Lynn’s daughter began taking music lessons at a young age and listened to her superstar mother. Though she started at a very young age, Cissy’s covers of her mother’s hits were one of the acts that endeared her to country music fans all over the world. Loretta Lynn Produced two Albums with her daughter, Cissy, and her husband, John Beams. When asked what the Album is about, Cissy told Nashvillemusicguide, -“Mine is a remake of several of Mom’s old songs. She had asked me if I would do that,”
A woman who is proud of her mother also said- “I said I was definitely honored to do that,” Cissie continues. “I took them and tried to do them the way they were originally done. Mama is gonna come in and do all the harmonies. To me, if I never do anything the rest of my life, I’m real, real pleased.”
When asked about her husband, Cissy replied- “John’s a great singer and a great songwriter,”. “He’s been singing music since he got out of Vietnam. That’s his love and his passion. Doing this album, he’s on Cloud Nine.”

Her husband John featured on the album with his own songs and Cissie did a collection of favorites originally recorded by her mother, Loretta. John Beams also traveled with his wife, Cissy Lynn as a singer and rhythm guitar player for her Busted Cowboy Band, a six-piece country band with steel guitar, lead and rhythm guitars, bass, and drums. Together, the couple has opened for icons like Conway Twitty and George Jones.

Death of her siblings
Cissy Lynn has suffered some losses in his life. Her brother, Jack Benny Lynn, died at age 34 on July 22, 1984, while trying to cross the Duck River at the family’s ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. In 2013, Cissy’s sister, Betty Sue, also died at age 64 of emphysema near Loretta’s ranch in Hurricane Mills.
