What Happened To Cruz Grant Rivera?

Cruz Grant Rivera was arrested for allegedly choking his ex-girlfriend after she came over to his apartment to pick up her stuff following their split. His ex-lover has been identified as Meghan Burke. Per reports, Cruz pounced on her, throwing her onto a bed, pinning her there from behind in a chokehold and nearly causing her to pass out.

A roommate of Cruz Grant Rivera is said to have phoned 911 after finding the two brawling on the floor. He said: “Honestly, I got home and they were wrestling. He added: “I told them I was gonna call the police if they don’t chill the f—k out.” Cruz allegedly bit his ex on the right hand and right leg as she struggled to break free from him.

In court, Cruz Grant Rivera admitted to trying to harm his ex-girlfriend by biting her and pushing her to the floor. “Did you, with intent to cause physical injury to Meghan Burke, cause such physical injury to her by biting her and pushing her to the floor and also acting in a manner that was disorderly? Did you attempt to do that?” asked Judge Phyllis Chu.

“Yes,” Cruz replied. A restraining order was set in his ex-girlfriend’s favor at the time of his plea. Reports have it that, he will be made to face six months in jail if he fails to meet the terms of the agreement. Assistant District Attorney Veronika Alayeva warned saying, “any violation of the re-pleader will result in a six-month jail recommendation.”

Cruz Grant Rivera’s father Geraldo Rivera was “very, very upset” with Cruz. However, Geraldo called lawyer and former Fox News commentator Arthur Aidala for her assistance. “I know Geraldo is very, very upset about this,” Aidala told The Post.

“Obviously, the fact that his father reached out to me shows he is supporting his son, but he is quite troubled by the accusations of domestic violence, because nobody takes domestic violence lightly.”
