Deena was the mom of her only child, E’Dena Hines. Tragically, Deena’s daughter E’Dena was stabbed to death at age 33 outside her New York City apartment in August 2015. Her boyfriend at the time, Lamar Davenport, was convicted of manslaughter less than two years later in May 2018, The Sun reported.

Before her death, E’Dena was adopted by Morgan and her ex-wife Myrna Colley-Lee. As per Spockandchristine, when Myrna filed a case against Freeman for divorce in 2008, she alleged her husband of having affair with granddaughter E’ Dena Hines. However, no proof was found against the allegations.

The Dark Knight Triology actor has strongly denied the allegations. He rvealed that it was only a medium chosen to defame him. Freeman said in a statement:

“The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers. What is more alarming is that these fabrications are now being picked up by the legitimate press as well.”

When Deena Freeman’s daughter passed away, her famous father reacted to the heartbreaking news in a statement to E! News, saying, “The world will never know her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer. Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.”

Deena Freeman has her daughter from her marriage  with Edward Lee Hines per Ecelebritymirror. After they welcomed their daughter in 1984, the couple ended their marriage. Their daughter was only three when these event took place. That was when Morgan and his ex-wife Myrna Colley-Lee stepped in to adopt and raise Deena’s daughter.
