On Instagram, Sharon shared a photo of Dorothy as she recovered in the hospital and wrote: “No one puts mommy in the corner. From unresponsive to this in three days. Thank You For Your Prayers. Our Family Feels You Every Time.”

Sharon Stone had asked her fans to pray for Dorothy Stone. “Say a prayer for Dorothy Marie Stone, my mom, who has suffered another acute stroke tonight. Thx, ” she wrote on Instagram. Sharon has stated that both her mother and grandmother had suffered strokes in the past.
“This is why I do it: My mother had a stroke. My grandmother had a stroke. I had a massive stroke — and a nine-day brain bleed,” Sharon told Variety at an event she hosted to raise awareness for the Women’s Brain Health Initiative. In September 2001, Sharon was hospitalized for a stroke and took a two-year break from acting afterward.
“People treated me in a way that was brutally unkind,” she told Variety. “From other women in my own business to the female judge who handled my custody case, I don’t think anyone grasps how dangerous a stroke is for women and what it takes to recover — it took me about seven years.”
Dorothy Has Lost Her Son Patrick To A Heart Disease
Dorothy Stone’s son Patrick Joseph Stone has passed away. Patrick who was born on August 14, 1965, died on February 12, 2023, at the age of 57 years. Patrick’s sister Sharon Stone confirmed his death on Instagram. She shared two photos on her Instagram page and wrote the caption: ‘RIP my brother Patrick Joseph Stone.’ She also shared an emotional video on Instagram.

“We did lose my brother Patrick Joseph Stone to a heart attack yesterday,” she said. “… Like any family, we thank you for your love and support in this time of immeasurable grief and we appreciate all of your condolences. Yes, we’ve had a tremendous amount of loss in these last couple of years, as so many of you also have.”
“And we do greatly understand that the losses are ours here on Earth, and I thank you very much for the love and support that you’re showing us, and we just ask you to continue to be kind. Thank you.” According to TMZ, Patrick’s death is being ruled as sudden cardiac death due to heart disease. Patrick Stone was the father of River William Stone (Sept. 8, 2020 – Aug. 30, 2021), who died of “total organ failure” at 11 months old.
Patrick’s wife Tasha was also heartbroken by the death of her husband. Tasha said: “My heart feels like it’s been ripped out of my chest. Patrick went to be with our sweet River … I don’t know what else to say, he was my world.”
“I’m not sure what life is supposed to look like without my husband by my side and quite honestly I don’t want to, but I will of course. I just hope that you always stay by my side watching over Hunter, Kaylee, and I.”
