Garette Ratliff Henson is an American actor. On January 5, 1980, Garette Ratliff was born in  Burbank, California, United States. Garette began her career in the show business as a model and in advertisements when she was very young. Henson was born in Burbank, California to a professional photographer mother. He is the younger brother of Elden Henson, and Erick Henson. Henson also has a younger half-brother, Ellington Ratliff, who is a member of the band R5. Neither Garette nor his elder brother Elden is related to Muppets creator Jim Henson, despite people mistook them to be related because they share the same surname.

Garette and his family eventually moved to Los Angeles, where he auditioned for and was cast in the role of ‘Cory Charming’ in The Charmings in 1987.

Education and Career

Concerning his education, Henson attended a private primary in Burbank, where he was on the honor roll. He began his career as a baby model and auditioned for and was cast in the part of Cory Charming in The Charmings in 1987. He co-starred in The Mighty Ducks trilogy with his older brother, Elden, in 1992, 1994, and 1996, and continued to play hockey in school. In the 1995 film Casper, he played Christina Ricci’s character’s high school crush, Vic DePhillippi. Henson earned his bachelor’s degree in 2002 from Sarah Lawrence College. He plays the saxophone.

“With The Mighty Ducks, and with Casper, for example, those are movies that, for whatever reason, were big movies for people of our age. So there will still be, once a month, someone who sees me walking down the street and goes, “Wait, are you from The Mighty Ducks?” And I’m like, “YES, that is amazing.” But for me now it’s switched from this thing that I felt embarrassed about to this thing of pride. I’m thrilled to have been in these movies that were so huge.”
