Ghanaian Doctor, Dr. Boahene Named the Best Plastic Surgeon 2021 In America

A Ghanaian doctor in the United States of America, Dr. Kofi Derek Owusu Boahene, has been named as one of the best plastic surgeons in America for 2021.

Dr. Boahene was named on the list of America’s best plastic surgeons in 2021, in the category of Rhinoplasty and facelift.

The rankings were carried out by American magazine Newsweek.

Dr. Boahene was privileged to have his name among the top list.

He finished 59th in the rankings for rhinoplasty and 150th for facelift.

The Ghanaian surgeon currently works at Johns Hopkins’ Facial Plastic Surgery Center in the city of Baltimore in the U.S state of Maryland.

The Hospital itself took to social media to announce the huge achievement by its two doctors.

“A huge congratulations to Kofi Boahene and @drshaundesai on being recognized by Newsweek as two of America’s Best Plastic Surgeons 2021! 🤩” the Facebook page for John Hopkins Otolaryngology posted.

The post was accompanied by two photos – one of Dr. Boahene and a second of another colleague, Dr. Shaun Desai who also was part of the list.

Congratulations are in order for Dr Kofi Boahene for making the motherland proud.

Newsweek collated the list of best plastic surgeons in America based on a survey carried out in partnership with Statista Inc, a world-renowned German statistical firm.

The survey polled plastic surgeons, asking them to rank their peers according to numerous criteria. A cummulation of the surveys informed the final standings.

Newsweek ranked plastic surgeons in four categories – breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, facelift, and liposuction.
