Gina Womack is the only daughter of Robert Dwayne Womack aka Bobby Womack and his third wife, Regina Womack. She celebrates her birthday every year on the 19th of December. Her year of birth is unknown. She is also known as GinaRe Womack. Her father was a famous singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer from Cleveland, Ohio, U.S. and her mother was a member of the choir at Grace Baptist Church in her hometown, Mt. Vernon, N.Y.

Gina Womack’s father Bobby Womack died on June 27, 2014, at age 70, in Tarzana, California, U.S. Although the cause of his death was not disclosed, he faced health problems including diabetes, pneumonia, colon cancer, and the early signs of Alzheimer’s disease. Gina has done her best to keep her father’s legacy alive. She launched a radio show to commemorate what would have been her father’s 72nd birthday.
Gina launched The Bravest Man in the Universe Radio in conjunction with LetsLinkRadio.com, a weekly hour-long audio/video-streamed celebration of her late father’s life. The show’s name is from her father’s final studio album, The Bravest Man in the Universe (2012). She used the platform to stream her self-produced documentary Outside Myself and rare and unreleased interviews from her father’s life.
Gina said of her father, “I convinced him to let me shoot a documentary because I just thought there were so many experiences that I had on my own that the whole world should be a part of – through his music and the things that he does for people, from his everyday life to what he’s doing internationally.”
“I’ve been following him on tour and in the studio and I’ll probably start editing the footage in early 2012. I’ve got so much stuff, like when my brothers were born to when some of his close friends died and he was going to their funerals. His story is so unique. There is a lot of intimate raw footage… and I’ve got stuff that people have never seen… I’ve got archive footage dating all the way back to the ’70s.”

He puts you there.” She also said, “There was a point in my dad’s life when he didn’t even want to write and make music. When I was younger he would, like, drink his tequila and play his guitar and think of new songs 24 hours a day, and then there came a point when he quit everything…

“He’d just watch TV and be in bed by 10pm every night; he had no passion for the music anymore.” She added: “At some point, just before he went on tour with Gorillaz, he started living again and that transition to me was, like, crazy… That’s something worth watching.” Gina misses her father and often shares posts of him on her Instagram handle.
On June 28, 2021, she shared a series of photos of her father and wrote: “Dear Dad, I think it’s brave that you kept on living even if you didn’t know how to anymore. I think it’s brave that you pushed away the waves everyday and decided to fight …. I think it’s brave that you had days when you felt like giving up and you never did….. To the Bravest Man In the Universe🪐 I know it takes time to heal and till your last breath, and song you said it best “ALL THINGS HEAL IN TIME”
