Herbert Daniel Hewitt was born on February 07, 1942, to Herbert James Hewitt and Mary Elizabeth Ogle. According to Geni, Herbert passed away at the age of 50 on December 02, 1992. The cause of his death has not been made public. He was married to Patricia Mae Shipp who also died in 2012. Aside from being the father of Jennifer Love Hewitt, he is also the father of Todd Daniel Hewitt.
Herbet was a medical technician while his wife was a speech-language pathologist. Herbert’s children were raised by his wife in Nolanville in Central Texas, and the children has close kinship ties in parts of Arkansas. Jennifer Love’s parents separated when she was six months old. After the couple called their marriage a quit, Jennifer Love and her older brother Todd Daniel Hewitt were raised by their mother.
Jennifer and her mother moved from Texas to L.A. in 1989 to pursue a career in show business while Todd stayed behind to finish high school in Texas. The following year, Jennifer joined the cast of Kids Incorporated. His daughter was attracted to music, which led to her first encounters with the entertainment industry. At age three, she sang “The Greatest Love of All” at a livestock show.

A decade later, JLH celebrated her 30th birthday with a Hepburn-themed party.
