‘I stole plantains to raise money for my girlfriend’s makeup’ –plantain thief

A young man has been arrested for stealing plantain from a farm in Bayelsa community.

The young man has claimed that he committed the offense to raise money to buy his girlfriend makeup.

The man who is unknown disclosed to the community leaders after he was caught that he stole the bunches of plantain in order to raise the N10,000 his girlfriend demanded from him.

According to him, he decided to stealing after the deadline she gave to him drew close.

The incident reportedly took place in Ebedebiri, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The suspected plantain thief revealed he is from Angiama community and begged the community leaders and farmers to have mercy on him
