Jack Newman is an American Businessman and the ex-husband of Mamie Van Doren. Jack Newman’s ex-wife was an actress and a sex symbol in the 1950s and ’60s, but she stepped back from Hollywood after featuring in films such as  Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women, Teacher’s Pet, and The Navy vs. the Night Monsters. She was a member of what the press dubbed “The Three M’s”: Mamie, Marilyn, and Mansfield. Van Doren is the only surviving “M,” at 91 years old.

Jack Newman is famous for his marriage to the blonde bombshell Mamie Van Doren. The Blonde Bombshell started taking on the world from a very young age. She worked as an usher at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, had a bit part in an early television series and also sang with Ted Fio Rito’s band, and entered several beauty contests. But one of the most interesting things she did was elope to Santa Barbara, California, with Jack Newman at the age of 17.

Van Doren’s first husband Newman was a businessman. He manufactures and sells sportswear. The couple tied the knot in 1949. However, they ended their marriage that same after she accused him of being abusive. The marriage ends shortly after the honeymoon in San Francisco, as he tries to throw her off the balcony per report. They were married for just 4 months. She divorced him on May 7, 1949.

Mamie Van Doren’s ex-husband Jack Newman went totally out of the limelight after their marriage came to an end. His whereabouts are unknown. Van Doren on the other hand has been married four times after her marriage with Newman came to an end. Her second marriage was a few years later to bandleader, composer, and actor Ray Anthony. They had one son, Perry Ray Anthony, who became the Blonde Bombshell’s only child.

They also divorced a few years later. She married baseball player Lee Meyers in 1966. They divorced in 1968. She went on to marry businessman Ross McClintock in 1972, the marriage was annulled the following year. Since 1979, Van Doren has been married to Thomas Gordon Dixon, an actor, and dentist.

In the famous blonde Bombshell’s autobiography, Van Doren acknowledged that she had numerous affairs with celebrities, including Clark Gable, Howard Hughes, Burt Reynolds, Jack Dempsey, Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, Johnny Rivers, Robert Evans, Eddie Fisher, Warren Beatty, Tony Curtis, Steve Cochran, and Joe Namath. She Claimed fidelity to each lover, she said “I don’t wear panties anymore – this startles the Hollywood wolves so much they don’t know what to pull at, so they leave me alone.” As of 2023, Van Doren is 92 years old.
