James Cosby died on 18 May 1945, in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, USA. He was just 6 years old when he died of rheumatic fever. He was buried at the Fairview Cemetery, in Willow Grove, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA. His brother Bill Cosby (b. July 12, 1937) is still alive. He will be celebrating his 86th birthday soon.
