His father is a Choir director, singer, songwriter, record producer, and author. Kerrion’s mother is Shawn Ewing, a public speaker, minister, and philanthropic developer. His stepmother is Tammy Collins, a former makeup artist.

Kerrion Franklin and his father Kirk Franklin had some misunderstandings. The father and son do not have a good relationship. In March 2021, Kerrion dropped an audio recording of a private conversation between him and his father. The father and son had a heated argument. Kirk said:’ I will break your neck ni***, don’t you ever disrespect me!’

Kerrion shared in the caption of the Instagram post: “I probably won’t release the entire recording because it’s too embarrassing that I’m even dealing with this. No matter what ppl think I pray my dad deals with his deep hatred toward me,” he wrote. “I don’t feel safe around him at all.”
Kirk Franklin subsequently apologized to his fans and followers. “Recently, my son and I had an argument that he chose to record. I felt extremely disrespected in that conversation, and I lost my temper. And I said words that are not appropriate. And I’m sincerely sorry to all of you. I sincerely apologize,” he said.

Kerrion Franklin Accused Mother Of Assault
Kerrion Franklin has made some accusations against his mother. He claims his mother assaulted him months after he made allegations against his father, saying he is verbally abusive, per The grio. He was on Instagram Live making accusations at Shawn Ewing, his mother, who was present and accompanied by another woman seeking to get help for Kerrion Franklin.
“I’m being abused right now. I’m being assaulted by my own mother. This is on live,” he said. “I’m going on live right to make sure I’m protected,” he continued. “They trying to take me to some hospital. This crazy.” His mother reacted by saying, “You’re always looking for attention,” to which he denied, “No, I’m looking for protection.”

“She’s trying to take me to a hospital, but she don’t have no bond, no business with me. No relationship. This is crazy,” he said.
What Happened To Kerrion Franklin?
Kerrion Franklin was arrested and held without bond. Reports have it that, he was driving a car that was not his but belonged to a missing woman who was presumed dead. In the car, a gun was found but Kerrion insists the gun isn’t his. However, according to Vibe, he claims he has no connection to the woman in question. Larry Reid of Larry Reid Live, an Atlanta-based entertainment news talk show spoke to Kerrion Franklin from jail.
Kerrion Franklin said: “Things have just been happening around me. Feeling like I’m being set up, feeling like people are trying to catch me doing wrong. After I was already booked in jail, they’re trying to put extra gun charges on me. Over the past year, I’ve had multiple vehicles like, I’m a producer, filmmaker, like, I just love entertainment, but it comes with a lot.”

Kerrion Franklin added: “I mean, the car is registered. It got — I’ve been stopped before, nobody never said anything about a murder or anything. Like, this is the first time I’m ever hearing about this. So, I’m just keeping my mind positive.” However, Kerrion’s father Kirk Franklin said nothing about his son’s detainment.
