KiDi Reveals Why He Lost VGMA Artiste Of The Year

Hiplife/ Highlife singer Nana Dwamena better known as Kidi has disclosed the main reason he lost the VGMA Artiste Of The Year.

During the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Gospel musician, Diana Hamilton won the Artiste Of The Year.

Singer, KiDi after he gave out his speech for winning his third award, he mentioned that he would be back for another award because he was sure he will win the Artiste Of The Year.

After kidi lost to Diana Hamilton, kidi stormed out of the venue.

In a recent interview, Kidi has revealed that he had felt too proud during the night of the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs),

According to KiDi, he felt proud after he bagged three awards.

Speaking to Tony Best on Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360, kidi said his third award made feel confident that he will win the artiste of the year.

KiDi added that God said,
“The four you have received is okay, go home with it,”

He said: “When I took the first award, I didn’t talk too much, the second too, I spoke less in my acceptance speech, but when I took the 3rd award, it boosted my confidence and at that point I felt I was so close to winning the Artiste of the Year, the reason I said, ‘I will be back’.

“But at the point, I felt God said, ‘my guy, you’re becoming too proud for my liking’. The four you have received is okay, go home with it,”
