The minister of information and member of parliament elect for the constituents of Ofoase Ayibi, Hon. Kojo Nkrumah has hinted on the date for the re-opening of schools through a tweet he shared on his official Twitter page.
According to the minister, President Akufo-Addo will be meeting with the cabinet today, December 30, 2020, to deliberate on the possible reopening in January.

The minister also disclosed that the said the president will make a decision that will be in the best interest of the school children and Ghanaian population at large considering the COVID-19 pandemic that is seeing a rise in some parts of the world.
He wrote;
President @NAkufoAddo prepares to meet cabinet tomorrow for a final decision on the possible reopening of schools in January. Key on his agenda will be to examine the proposals for assuring the safety of our children, should schools reopen.
These decisions are not made lightly. But so far all his covid management decisions have been spot on. Fingers crossed, he will make the best decision in the interest of our children and our schools.
