Barry Corbin has recently revealed that he has been battling cancer for some time. The star has been keeping his diagnosis to himself, but he has decided that he is ready to share his struggle with the world. The diagnosis has cast a shadow over his career, but he has not let it get him down too much. He shared what doctors told him when they told him what was plaguing him and said it was difficult to hear.

The actor recalled finding a spot on the inside of his cheek. He went on to say that, he knew it was cancer immediately, but he didn’t discuss it with anybody. When he was diagnosed with cancer, he said that doctors told him he could have lost his voice. Doctors warned him that the cancer could have affected his vocal cords, which would have caused him to lose his distinctive country drawl. He decided to take a break from work without telling anybody.

Marie Elyse Soape’s ex-husband has won many cutting-horse competitions. Much of his spare time is spent riding horses and tending to cattle on his small ranch near Fort Worth.
