Tommy Chong and Maxine Sneed’s marriage

Tommy Chong and his first wife Maxine first met through her brother Bernie, who was Tommy’s bandmate. Soon after meeting the two started dating but regrettably, when Tommy changed his career to become a truck driver, Maxine broke up with him. Their relationship slowly faded.

Though he was still in love with Maxine, Tommy moved on to try his hands on other options. He started dating another woman named Gail and eventually asked her to be his wife. However, Tommy’s affection for his new girlfriend Gail was not on par with his feelings when he was in a relationship with Maxine.

Tommy called off his engagement with Gail, who also seemed to be okay with their split. While they were calling off their engagement, Gail became pregnant with Tommy’s child. Months later, she gave birth to Rae Dawn, who lived with her during the first month of her life.
