Per reports, Moses’ parents TobyMac and his wife Amanda consider the adoption of Moses and Marlee “as a God-ordained process rather than a calculated decision”. After the birth of their first child Truett McKeehan, TobyMac and Amanda Levy McKeehan wanted another child but Amanda wasn’t getting pregnant again.

The couple were worried. They visited fertility specialists and did several tests but doctors couldn’t find answers. The doctors suggested an exploratory surgery to which the couple initially agree but later called off the operation. They decided to pray for 30 days. They prayed for another pregnancy, even asking God for twins.

Per a source, it was on the 10th day that their prayers were answered. An unknown woman approached the couple at Bethel World Outreach Church in Brentwood and asked if they have ever considered adopting. She knew of some twins soon to be born who needed adoptive parents.

“I know who you are, and I know you don’t know me,” she said. “But there’s a set of twins who need a home. Have you ever considered adoption?”

“Oh my gosh,” Amanda said, “we just got hit in the face with the will of God.” TobyMac and Amanda soon began the adoption process for the twins Moses and Marlee. “It was so beautiful, there’s no denying it,” Toby had mentioned.

Moses McKeehan and Marlee McKeehan are African-American and Caucasian per their father TobyMac’s IMDb page. Moses’ parents TobyMac and his wife Amanda have been married since 1994. Moses shares a great bond with his siblings and family. His parents make time off their busy schedules for their children.

TobyMac and his wife Amanda don’t even get to spend time alone because of their busy schedules, the demands of raising their children, and their career pressures. TobyMac said “Trying to get time alone together is crucial. We’re not always that good at it with five kids.”

“But last night Amanda sacrificed a little by staying up later than she usually does. I sacrificed a little by marching up the stairs and stepping away from my music and my headphones. We had a great time just talking for an hour before we went to bed.”

TobyMac revealed that his “wife and kids have completely taught me what it’s like to love people and to sacrifice for people.” According to him, “It really is about loving my wife well, about leading [my kids] to love people well … and helping them to love God with all their hearts. It’s beautiful when you allow that to mold you and when you allow their needs to shape you.”

Moses McKeehan is said to have attended Franklin Christian Academy for his higher education. He doesn’t have a career yet. He has never been married and is not involved in any romantic relationship. Sadly, his brother Truett who was an aspiring rapper, died on October 23, 2019, at age 21 of an accidental drug overdose of fentanyl and amphetamines.

Moses Suffers From Muscular Dystrophy

Unfortunately, Moses McKeehan suffers from muscular dystrophy and sits in a wheelchair. “It’s opened my eyes to things I never saw before, to have a son in a wheelchair full time,” his father TobyMac once said. TobyMac also said: “We’re trying to love that guy with everything we’ve got and trying to let him experience everything he’s supposed to experience.”

Moses McKeehan has been baptized. He has given his life to Christ at church. His siblings and family are all working together to help him. “It’s rallied us together for sure,” TobyMac said. “The kids understand. They’re learning to serve Moses every day.”
