Noah Wilde’s father, Nathan West is also an actor, musician, and singer. West has had roles in major films as well as independent projects. He has worked on projects including Disney’s Miracle and the award-winning independent feature Alleged. Aside from being an actor, he has also worked as a producer on IFC’s Brake. As a singer-songwriter, West drew his musical inspiration from the likes of top industry names like Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, and Otis Redding.

While at an audition for a couple for the pilot of an unsuccessful WB series titled Saving Graces, West met Chyler Leigh. They have worked on many projects with each other since, usually portraying couples, including 7th Heaven and Safe Harbor. When on the set of Not Another Teen Movie, West proposed to Leigh.

Noah Wilde West’s parents exchanged their vows on July 20, 2002, in Alaska in a beautiful ceremony in the presence of their friends, families, and loved ones. The couple has been married for about 18 years and still loved up.

 Leigh and West have three children: Noah Wilde West (Born December 2003), Taelyn Leigh West (born September 2006), and Anniston Kae West (born May 7, 2009).

Leigh has said that she and her husband West have a pact in which the person who guesses the baby’s sex correctly gets to choose the name. When pregnant with Noah, Leigh guessed she was having a boy so she chose the first name and West gave him his middle name. For Taelyn, West correctly guessed it was a girl, so he named her. Their third child, also a girl, was guessed correctly by West.

Talking about her children. the actress said– “Going from zero to one is a huge shock. One to two was a little more challenging. Two to three was a bit more challenging, but once you get used to multiples you figure out how to put things together quicker. You learn how to organize. With number three coming, you get more confident as a mom. It’s like calm mom, calm baby.“

Noah Wilde West is a Christian just like his parents. His mother, Leigh credits her faith and a “really awesome church” with giving her and her husband “a reason to live”. Noah and his family live in Los Angeles but they now split their time between Vancouver and Nashville.

The Grey’s Anatomy star says her experiences as a mom of three have left her well-versed in the medical field, beginning with daughter Taelyn Leigh, who suffers from febrile seizures.

The actress’s son  Noah Wilde West has had his share of health scares as well. “He busted his chin on the ground when he decided he wanted to slide like a penguin,” Leigh reveals. “He smacked his head on the ground when he was trying to spin and got his pants stuck under his feet. He wound up with a huge goose egg that looked like his brains were coming out.”

In 2019, Noah Wilde West’s mother, Leigh revealed that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder a decade earlier. The Supergirl actress said her children are aware of her diagnosis. She told PEOPLE– “They’re becoming aware [of my bipolar disorder]. My son knows the actual diagnosis” The actress went on to tell the publication – [My kids] have their own diagnoses — not bipolar — but [our mental health] is very much a more prevalent conversation in the house right now, as they’ve gotten older and we’re able to communicate in a way that’s not scary,” 

The Supergirl actress also told PEOPLE- “They worry sometimes. If I’m crying, they worry about if I’m okay and how they can help Mommy,” the actress continues. “Both the girls struggle with anxiety. My 13-year-old, even just getting on a plane, she’s like, ‘Mommy, I need to know that you landed, I need to know that you’re okay,’ kind of just keeping tabs.”
