Who is Nobuko Moore?

Nobuko Moore is the American-Japanese wife of Sherrod Moore. Nobuko’s husband, Sherrod is the father of a famous American actor and fashion model, Shemar Moore. His notable roles include Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless, Derek Morgan on CBS’ Criminal Minds, and the lead role of Hondo on S.W.A.T. Moore was also the third permanent host of Soul Train, from 1999 to 2003. Shemar’s stepmother is Nobuko.

Shemar is not very close to his father as per some publications. He was raised by a single mother, and Mr. Moore wasn’t present in the family picture. Now the actor stays in touch with Mr. Moore and his stepmother, Nobuko Moore but doesn’t see him very often.

Shemar’s mother, Marilyn Joan Wilson-Moore died on February 8, 2020. His parents did not really stay together for long. They had “an incident”, the details of which Shemar doesn’t publicize, but after that, his dad was imprisoned for four years. Nobuko Moore’s husband, Sherrod lost connection with his son when Shemar was still a baby.

As the actor tells, his father is a part of his life, but “on his terms”. Nevertheless, he found the inner force to forgive his dad and even bought him “a place to live”.

He serves as the president of a glass repair company “Millennium 2 Inc”. When he was in his late 40s, he married Nobuko Takahashi, a woman 9 years younger than him. He welcomed two sons and two daughters with her. So, Shemar has 4 half-siblings from the paternal side. Nobuko Moore and her husband, Sherod, have four children,  Romeo Moore, Sheburra Moore, Shenon Moore, and Kosheno Moore.
