How did his parents meet?
There isn’t much information available regarding how Patrick’s parents, Carroll Shelby and Jeanne Fields met. The couple has not given any details on how their love story started. However, they tied the note on 18 December 1943 in a beautiful ceremony. They remained married for 14 years before going their separate ways on February 1960. The reason behind their divorce was not made public.
After his parents’ marriage came to an end, His father moved on and had six other marriages which all ended in a divorce. His seventh marriage to Cleo Shelby was in the divorce process when he died. The seventh marriage also lasted 15 years.

His father started a Foundation to cover the bills for children with heart disease
Growing up Carroll Shelby suffered from heart valve leakage problems by age 7. This made him experience related health complications throughout his life which later lead to his death. This made him establish the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation to cover the medical bills of children who have heart disease but are unable to pay for treatment.
His Parents died in the same year and at the same age
Patrick Shelby’s bother parents died in the same year, 2012. His father died on May 10, 2012, at the age of 89 and his mother Jeanne Field also died on 12 Oct 2012 at age 89 in Dallas, Dallas, Texas, United States. The cause of her death was not made public. The couple died a few months apart.
The siblings had a bitter custody battle over their father’s body with their stepmother Cleo Shelby. Carroll Shelby’s children claimed he signed a directive the same year he died to have his remains cremated and split between them and a plot in his native East Texas. Their stepmother called the directive a forgery and said another document signed two years ago gave her power over his affairs.

The two parties finally came to an agreement, the agreement allowed Shelby’s body to be cremated but with the ashes split five ways instead of four – with an extra share for their stepmother- Cleo Shelby reported by dailymail.
Where is Patrick Shelby now?
Patrick is still alive as of 2022. According to some sources, he has a family and also a son whose name is Aaron Shelby. Aaron operates the Shelby family’s timber business in East Texas and is on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Children’s Theater. He also joined the board of Carroll Shelby International Inc. – the company his grandfather founded.
