The Ghana Police are investigating a case of murder, after a young police constable (name withheld), was found dead at her home, in Damongo in the Savannah Region with stab wounds on Monday, August 2, 2021.
Superintendent of Police Director, Public Affairs, Mrs. Sheilla Kessie Abayie- Buckman, through a press release said that the circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
According to the police press release the young woman was found in her own pool of blood with wounds believed to be knife stabs.
“The body has been deposited at the West Gonja District Hospital, pending investigations”, the police release added.
According to the police, the boyfriend was the last to visit her in her home which makes him a possible suspect in the case.
Her boyfriend is currently on the run and the police are on a manhunt for him, the police release indicated.
The police have also drop pictures of him asking for the support of the general public.
“The Police Administration has also started processes to inform the family of the deceased and assures that it will update the public on the matter”, according to the police press release.
