His debut album Die a Legend (2019) received generally positive reviews and peaked at number six on the US Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA.

He grew up listening to Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane and describes them as his biggest influences. The “G” in his stage name stands for Gucci. As a teenager, he was involved with a rough crowd and was arrested multiple times. His offenses ranged from drug possession to car theft. He has also lost friends due to firearm violence.
