18 years old British teenager Ramarni Wilfred aced his IQ test with a score high than Albert Einstein
According to BBC, Wilfred scored higher than scientist Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, and physicist Stephen Hawking at age 11. By achieving a 162, the young student, who studies at a comprehensive school in east London, is considered a genius and the smartest boy in England’s capital.
Prof. Hawking, Microsoft founder Gates and Einstein all have 160 IQs. Ramarni scored 162, putting him in the top 1% in the UK.
Signs of his exceptional brilliance appeared when he was a child, reports The University Herald. In pre-school, Wilfred was able to read and write, and at 10, he wrote a justice theory paper that won him prestigious honors. It’s that excellence that caught the attention of MENSA, a high IQ society that “welcomes people from every walk of life whose IQ is in the top 2% of the population, with the objective of enjoying each other’s company and participating in a wide range of social and cultural activities.”
“I always remember driving him to nursery and he was telling me about something he’d seen on the news, and it was a very political subject,” his mom, Anthea Wilfred, told BBC. “Later on that afternoon, I saw the optic on the TV and I thought, my two-and-a-half-year-old has just been talking to me about this in the car. It was just bizarre.”
Though he remains an anomaly compared to most teens his age, his interests are pretty typical, as he enjoys playing with his dog, watching the Disney Channel, and reading comic books. However, his overall curiosity will continue to further his intelligence.
“It’s probably in place of me not knowing something, and from the ignorance is a desire to understand it, to know it,” he told BBC. “It’s just about finding your thing and finding what you are very interested in, what makes you excited, what you actually want to learn about.”

“This is a great opportunity and I think it can open a lot of doors for me. But I also believe that having a high IQ isn’t that important unless you do something really special with it.” Ramarni Wilfred said.
Ramarni’s former teacher, Valerie Mulae, described him as “remarkable”, adding: “He just stood out. He shone.”
Mensa’s chief executive, John Stevenage, said: “Anyone who registers an IQ score which places them in the top two percent of the population has done remarkably well. The score Ramarni achieved therefore is very good and shows he has great potential.”
