Rebecca King-Crews met her husband Terry Crews in college. They met at the Western Michigan University. They became friends before they began dating. Rebecca told E! News that Terry “almost got stuck in the friend zone. He was a little too nice.” They got married on July 29, 1989, and have remained married ever since.
Rebecca has a daughter Naomi Burton-Crews from a previous relationship. Naomi has been adopted by Terry. Rebecca and Terry have three daughters and one son. Their daughters are Azriel Crews, Tera Crews, and Wynfrey Crews, and their only son is Isaiah Crews. Rebecca and Terry’s marriage has had its share of ups and downs.
In 2014, Terry released his autobiography, Manhood: How to Be a Better Man or Just Live with One, in which he detailed his pornography addiction. He has made it known that his porn addiction had seriously affected his marriage and his life. Rebecca King-Crews Is A Breast Cancer Survivor
Rebecca King-Crews was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer after she underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. “Though it was Stage 1, you’re overwhelmed with fear, like cancer is this all-consuming, all-powerful evil entity,” she told PEOPLE. Her husband Terry Crews was the first person she told about the diagnosis.
“My husband has watched me go through a lot, but the look on his face … he looked at me like I was going to die,” she said. “He told me it felt like his insides were melting. I said, ‘I need you to be strong for me,’ and he said, ‘Okay’ and hugged me, but I think he needed that hug.”
Terry Crews took care of his wife while she recovered. “I have to give him his props because he’s been cooking for me, helping me bathe, and just really stepping up,” she said. “I tease him all the time, I’m like, Did I have to get cancer to be treated like this?!’ ” Fortunately, Rebecca has been declared cancer-free.
