“Rise And Fight And Stop Writing Essays On social Media” – Shatta Wale To Ghanaian Youths

Ghana’s self-acclaimed dancehall king and multiple award winner Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior, popularly known in the entertainment industry as Shatta Wale, has advised the fellow youths of Ghana to stop too many Socila media activities and take the fight for their rights to the street.

Obviously, the ordinary Ghanaian youth is free constitutional but has some hindrances when it comes to practicalizing what the constitution has stated. Due to the democratic system of government that we are practicing in Ghana, it is unlawful for a citizen to take the law into their hand to fight for themselves aggressively. Taking the state at which Ghana’s judicial system is also, many youths nowadays have lost confidence in the judicial system and decided to move to social media for resolution of their problems and oppressions which made them write a lot of articles to show to the world what they are passing through.

But in a social media post on Twitter by Shatta Wale who is normally followed by a huge percentage of the youths has condemned the act of staging protests and Demonstrations on the internet. According to Shatta Wale, it is nonsense to be online, Writing a lot of essays without raising for to fight for what rightfully belongs to them.

“As for Ghana dierr the problem is us the youth ..we can’t stand up and fight for our right..”, He stated.

He however stated that those activities of the youths are the problem that the country is currently facing.

“Nonsense ..Everyday typing online ..”, he added.

He stated that all that the youths do on the internet is not what will solve the problems in the country rather the youths must rise and fight for their rights.

“Massa that no go solve anything ooo , Rise and fight and stop writing this nonesense Essays”, he wrote.

This tweet came after a bloody incident that happened in Ejura in the Ashanti Region. When some youths decided to protest the death of one of their own who is actively involving in #FixTheCountry a hashtag that is aiming at alerting the government on the problems of the country and demands their fixing after his burial. In the process of protesting, two persons deaths and four injuries where recorded including a Military lieutenant after a serious battle with the police who came to implement and enforce the law.
