Robsol Pinkett, Jr was a businessman and a celebrity parent. He was born on July 14, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, United States. His parents are Robsol Grant Pinkett and Shirley Nancy Crystal Pinkett. He is of African-American descent. He is also known as Robsol Grant Pinkett, Jr.

Nothing much is known about Robsol Pinkett, Jr’s childhood and education. He grew up and ran a construction company. He met and fell in love with Adrienne Banfield-Norris, an actress and the head nurse of a Baltimore inner-city clinic. Robsol got Adrienne pregnant.

Adrienne Banfield-Norris became pregnant in high school. Robsol and Adrienne got married but they fell out of love and went their separate ways after several months of being together. They had Jada Koren Pinkett on September 18, 1971.

Robsol Pinkett, Jr seems to have had a complicated relationship with both his children, Jada Pinkett Smith, and film producer Caleeb Pinkett. Caleeb and Jada have spoken about their rough childhood, thanks to their father’s addiction to drugs, and volatile, violent nature.

On an episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk, Jada invited her younger brother, Caleeb Pinkett. They discussed their relationship with their father, Robsol Pinkett, Jr. Even with different mothers, Caleeb and Jada revealed that they had “a shared source of pain” throughout their lives.

Jada Pinkett Smith mentioned that: “We had a lot of resentment. We had that feeling like we had to be responsible for him, but he never had to be responsible for us and that was a hard pill for me to swallow.” The siblings said they had to let go of the pain and anger they held toward their late father.

According to Jada Pinkett Smith, “The most difficult part of him dying like that is [be]cause he and I had had a horrendous fight when I found out that he relapsed. I was like, ‘I don’t owe you nothing.’ You didn’t do s–t for me, you didn’t do s–t for Caleeb. I don’t owe you nothing.’ It was one of those”.

Caleeb Pinkett said: “I was furious. And he told me, ‘That’s what the disease is. This is who I am.’ And that was deep. Because he’s saying that’s who I am but I am still who I am to you. He said, ‘I’m still your father.’”

When Jada Pinkett Smith was 7, she said her father told her, “I can’t be your father. I’m a criminal, I’m an addict, and that’s just what it is. The issue for me was when I got into the position that I got in and then he wanted to have a relationship. That hurt me”, Jada admitted.

Unfortunately, Jada Pinkett Smith’s father is not alive. Robsol Pinkett, Jr was found in his house lying unconscious and was rushed to the hospital only to be confirmed dead. He died on February 20, 2010, in the United States, at age 57. He was killed by an overdose of a drug.
