The couples fell in love and started seeing one another, they later on, tied the knot on Sept. 24, 1977, at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau in a beautiful private wedding ceremony that was attended by both close friends and family.
The couple never had any children. Though they promised each other forever on their wedding day, things didn’t go as planned. Their marriage got sour along the line. McNeely filed for divorce in March 1980, citing “incompatibility“. They were formally divorced on July 10, 1980, and went their separate ways.
