A sad viral photo trending online of people fetching dirty water in the industrial city of Ghana, (Tema West) has dropped and receive many reactions from netizens.
According to information gather has it that, resident of Tema Newtown has been affected by water shortage for the past 3 weeks.
The situation has left many people who couldn’t afford the cost of private water supply to release on the water available in the drain.
Some have stated that, they fetch the water down, allow it to settle and then boil it before usage, while some people will only add alum to the water to kill germs as it settle downs.
However, Ghana Water Company in a previous statement has warned residents to take enough water for a certain period as they were to undergo maintenance projects on the pipelines.

This caution didn’t sound well to some people as they couldn’t store enough water to be able to meet the crisis.
