He is the son of author and entrepreneur Richard Charles Nicholas Branson and his wife Joan Templeman. Sam has two siblings, Holly Branson, and Clare Sarah Branson. Clare Sarah died only four days after birth.
Holly is Virgin Group’s Chief Purpose and Vision Officer. She is also a Philanthropist and the co-writer of WEconomy: You Can Find Meaning, Make A Living, and Change the World. Big Change incubates entrepreneurial ideas that can drive long-term social change and is disrupting the traditional model of charity.
Sam has worked with several charitable organizations. He has also been on multiple environmental expeditions to the Arctic. He went to the British Virgin Islands in 2017 to help those affected by ‘Hurricane Irma’ which wreaked havoc from August 30 to September 13. Sam Branson is a family man. He has been married to English socialite, actress, and model Isabella Calthorpe born Isabella Amaryllis Charlotte Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe. The pair got married on 6 March 2013, at Sam’s father’s private safari lodge near Kruger National Park, with guests including Princess Beatrice of York and Princess Eugenie of York.
