Former President and the recent presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama had a scuffle with a social media user who commented on a post he made on Facebook.
The former president made a post about the NDC MPs who defied all odds to present a petition to the Electoral Commission and were harassed by the police. The Facebook user identified as Jamil Moon Goodluck Multiply said the minority MPs could have delegated one of them to present the petition in order to avoid the chaos that erupted.

He wrote:
You are beating unnecessary War Drum. Does it take Awhole crowd in a from of demonstration to present a petition? Why not just send Haruna Iddrisu to send it there? It better still you can mail it. My Man stop this things ohh. We all day behind you but you are not fellowing due dilligence. The elections are over at least lets have some peace!!
The former president replied to the comment of the Facebook user in a dramatic way that got his fans rolling. He also replied
When you did let my vote count LMVC. you should have sent only one person to present the petition at Flagstaff House! Ofui!!
