A brief ceremony was held at the Kotoka International Airport to welcome COVID-19 vaccines into the country.
Dr. Nsiah Asare, the Presidential Advisor on Health mentioned that,the president , Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wil be the first Ghanaian to receive injection of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The president Nana Akufo-Addo and the vice president, Bawumia has just become the first citizens in Ghana to receive the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Monday.
The president during the 24th address to the nation on Sunday, 28 February encouraged all Ghanaians to be confident in the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines.
Most Ghanaians have expressed their mixed reactions to the issue.
Some individuals in Ashaiman “under bridge” have stated that they would not take the vaccines while others say otherwise.
Some explained that before they would take the vaccines unless they monitor those who have received the vaccines for a year before they would also allow vaccination.
Some also stated that the vaccines that would be used on the citizens might be different fron that of the president.
