The President of the nation has once again taken the stage to address the lovely people of Ghana on matters pertaining to Coronavirus. Nana Addo started his speech with his usual greats “Good evening Fellow Ghanaians”.
He started by mentioning the reduction in the follow of the coronavirus protocol. He said we have let our guards down and the numbers of cases are increasing.
The Government is going to encourage the rules and regulations that have helped us so far in keeping the numbers low.
As over 172 cases have been detected among people at the airport, Airlines that flop the rules will be suctioned. Contact tracing to be taken very serious again.
Ministry of Health to work closely with Ghana Health service to track and help those who are positive for the virus
The free water and electricity will continue as communication tax are also relieved. All health workers will not be paying income tax as the government has absorbed it.
All frontline health workers to receive their money as well till December
Political gatherings will be monitored and ensure the proper protocols are observed. He encouraged the citizens to help place the virus under control. Proper hygiene like washing of hands regularly, use of hand sanitizers and also wearing of face masks
Severe sanctions exist in our laws for persons who disregard these protocols. The law enforcement agencies will apply these laws without fear or favour. We can’t afford to throw caution to the wind,” he stated.
