Thomas Gordon Dixon is the husband of actress Mamie Van Doren. Mamie has been married five times. In 1949, she married sportswear manufacturer Jack Newman; she divorced him later that same year. Mamie meet and married her second husband, bandleader, composer, and actor Ray Anthony. They got married in 1955. Their marriage was blessed with Mamie’s only child- Perry Ray Anthony. The couple divorced in 1961.

The famous Hollywood star married baseball player Lee Meyers in 1966, their marriage also ended in a divorce in 1968. Her fourth marriage was to businessman Ross McClintock in 1972. Mamie met McClintock while working on President Nixon’s re-election campaign; the marriage was annulled in 1973.

Mamie Van Doren and her fifth and current husband Thomas Gordon Dixon have been married for more than 4 decades. Dixon is nearly two decades her junior according to the LA Times. Talking about her husband Dixon, Mamie said “He’s an old soul, He was a Vietnam vet. He was an actor in Florida, where I was doing a play, ‘Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?’ and he was the leading man. We were on the road for like 20 weeks.“

Mamie Van Daren went on to say- ” We got to become friends. Then I was going to come back to Newport, and he said, ‘I would like to go with you.’ I said, ‘Stay with me,’ and he never left!” The couple got married in 1979 and has been together since.

 Van Daren never misses a chance to talk about her husband, Thomas Gordon Dixon. “I love the ocean and the fresh air,” she told Closer of moving to Newport Beach, California. “Perry and I came down and we got interested in boats. It worked out just fine. I met several nice men and married one. I’ve been with Thomas [Dixon] for more than 40 years. That’s a long time!“

She captioned the photo: “Thomas my hubby of almost 50 years. How did he put up with me? Sometimes I wasn’t the perfect wife.” Many fans took to the comment section to show support for the couple. The couple has no children, however, Mamie has a son from her previous marriage to Ray Anthony. Thomas Gordon Dixon, Mamie Van Doren, and her son Perry Anthony attended Film Tribute to Mamie Van Doren on April 23, 1984, at the Nuart Theater in Los Angeles, California together.
