What Happened To Tony Cimber’s Mother?
Tony Cimber’s mother Jayne Mansfield, born Vera Jayne Palmer died at age 34, on June 29, 1967, in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S. She was killed in a car crash. She had been on her way to New Orleans from Biloxi, Mississippi, where she had been performing a standing engagement at a local nightclub.
Jayne Mansfield had a television appearance scheduled the following day. Ronnie Harrison was the driver driving Jayne and her lawyer and companion, Sam Brody along with three of Jayne’s children, Miklós, Zoltán, and Mariska, in a 1966 Buick Electra 225.
Their vehicle crashed with a tractor-trailer, driven by a Mr. Rambo, that had slowed down for an approaching insecticide fog-spraying truck which was flashing a red light. The three adults Jayne, Sam Brody, and their driver died instantly. Fortunately, Jayne’s children survived with minor injuries.
Jayne Mansfield’s funeral happened on July 3 in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania. The service was conducted by Charles Montgomery, a pastor of the Zion Methodist Church. A private funeral service was held at the chapel of the Pullis Funeral Home. She was interred in Fairview Cemetery, southeast of Pen Argyl, beside her father Herbert Palmer.
