Tulip Victoria Khaury is the daughter of Herbert Butros Khaury commonly known as Tiny Tim. The father of Tulip was an American singer, ukulele player, and musical archivist. He is best remembered for the popular song “Tiptoe Through the Tulips”, which he sang in a falsetto voice. He was honored with a star on the outside mural of the Minneapolis nightclub First Avenue.

Her parents are Herbert Butros Khaury aka Tiny Tim (April 12, 1932 – November 30, 1996), and his ex-wife Victoria May Budinger also known as Miss Vicki. Tulip is the only child of her parents, Tiny Tim and Miss Vicki.
Tulip’s parents married on December 17, 1969, on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, when her mother was 17 years old and her father was 37 years old. Tiny Tim and Miss Vicki divorced on October 24, 1977. Although they stayed married for eight years, Tiny and Miss Vicki’s marriage is said to have ended by their second anniversary.
After Tulip Victoria Khaury’s parents got divorced, her father married Jan Alweiss also known as “Miss Jan” before marrying Susan Marie Gardner also known as “Miss Sue”. Tulip’s paternal grandmother Tillie (née Staff), was a Polish-Jewish garment worker, and the daughter of a rabbi. Her paternal grandfather was Butros Khaury.
Butros Khaury was a textile worker from Beirut, present-day Lebanon, whose father was a Maronite Catholic priest. Tulip Victoria’s childhood experiences have not been disclosed. However, she stayed with her mother Miss Vicki after her parent’s divorce. Tulip’s father Tiny Tim wasn’t involved with his daughter’s childhood.
Tulip’s mother Miss Vicki once revealed: “I was 19 when Tulip was born, but I was on my own from the time she was a baby. And I did it all by myself. I worked three jobs most of my life. I worked it out that I was home when she came home from school. My jobs were at night when she was asleep, so I had a baby-sitter there.”

To support her daughter, Miss Vicki went on welfare for a while in the ’70s. She also did a stint as a go-go dancer at Minnie’s Lounge and even posed nude in an eight-page spread in Oui magazine. Later, Tiny Tim assisted Tulip and her mother, trying to make it up to the family and mend his relationship with his daughter and ex-wife.
Details regarding Tulip Victoria Khaury’s education are not available. Unfortunately, her father Tiny Tim died on November 30, 1996, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S., at age 64, after he suffered a heart attack. His remains are entombed in a mausoleum at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
