Guinea coup leader Mamady Doumbouya and his armed guards couldn’t leave the press conference without paying respect to Ghana’s late President Jerry John Rawlings’ spirit.
Guinean coup d’etat leader Mamady Doumbouya has disclosed his source of inspiration in deposing President Alpha Conde in a video released by Howard French, a socialite, and journalist.
In this video, Mamady Doumbouya kept evoking the spirit of Jerry John Rawlings as a principle and motivation.
“if the people are crushed by their elites, it’s up to the army to restore their freedom. If only things tended to work out so well, the military wouldn’t have taken over” Mamady Doumbouya was heard quoting the exact words of Jerry John Rawlings in 1979.
In 1979, Jerry John Rawlings staged a similar Coup d’etat in Ghana. His Spirit lives on as it keeps gingering Mamady Doumbouya and his army to fight for Guinea.
