Apostle Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, has been arrested by the police, reports on social media indicate.
The reports state Owusu Bempah was arrested on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at his church premises at Odorkor.
A post from Facebook user Listowell Nana Kusi-Poku indicated that Owusu Bempah had been arrested in connection with an attack on some policemen.
According to Kusi-Poku, some vigilante boys who work for Owusu Bempah had attacked some policemen and disarmed them while they were on duty.
The policemen are believed to have initially gone to arrest Owusu Bempah but were prevented by some church members and the vigilantes who disarmed them.
A video has also popped up showing the ‘man of God’ in the midst of police officers. Parts of the video suggest he was sent to the Dansoman Divisional Police Command
It is known what might have caused the police to seek to arrest Owusu Bempah but is strongly believed to be linked to his beef with Nana Agradaa, the converted fetish priestess.
