William Adjei Twum a resident of Asante Dwaaso tells how he ended in prison after a robbery. After graduating from high school, the young guy chose to pursue a career as a disc jockey (DJ). He became an expert and wished to pass on his knowledge to others. As is customary, most individuals have friends, and he was no exception. His buddies enticed him into a variety of illicit acts, despite the fact that he did not always agree with them. His buddies came to call him one day when he was entertaining his audience at a tavern. They needed to attend to an emergency.
His three buddies informed him that a man who lives in the neighborhood had returned from the United States of America with large quantities of money and that the operation had begun. He dropped his luggage and followed them since the news was too fantastic to be true. This was the start of William Adjei Twum’s difficulties as a resident of Asante Akyim Dwaaso in the Ashanti Region, who is presently incarcerated.
While he and his friends approached the man’s home, they advised him to keep an eye on the gate as they entered the room to carry out the heist. It was a life or death situation, yet William Adjei Twum took a chance and secured the gate. In no time, his buddies appeared, carrying large quantities of money, including dollar bills. Fortunately, the man in issue was not injured.
They all went back to their own houses, and the next day, William Adjei Twum noticed a message on his phone, which he promptly checked and confirmed to be GHC 12, 000. His accomplices informed him that the money he had received was his part of the proceeds from the armed robbery. They all went to different areas to enjoy their stolen funds, but William Adjei Twum’s doom came when someone noticed him at the gate while the operation was still going on.
One morning, he was responding to a call from his mother in another town when he was encircled by officials from the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department. William noticed his cup was full at that precise time. He was arrested and transported to the police station, although he denied knowing anything about the heist. Only GHC 10 remained after searching his phone.
They pleaded with him to divulge where the money was hidden, but he refused. His mother, who had been devastated, arrived at the police station and pleaded with his son to give him the whole truth. William Adjei Twum had no motive to lie to his mother and told her the truth, but he refused to reveal where the money was hidden. He was soon brought before the judge, who sentenced him to three years in jail after he demonstrated regret and innocence.
The victim had requested that the police forgive the little kid because he was not among those who had invaded his room. William also returned GHC 1,000, but his companions were nowhere to be seen. They have not been apprehended yet, but William is currently completing his sentence in prison. He has displayed rumors and sought pardon. Because life in jail is so unpleasant, William claims he will never do such a thing again. He accuses his buddies of duping him into doing such a thing.
