John Wick and The Wire Star Lance Reddick passed away at the age of 60 on Friday 17 March 2023 at his Los Angelos home. It is not yet clear what caused his passing but law enforcement sources have informed TMZ that it appears to be ‘natural.’ Per the report, the actor’s body was discovered at his home in Studio City, California Friday morning around 9:30 am. 

The actor who was full of life on Wednesday posted a selfie with his dogs where he appeared to be at home but did not reveal why he was missing the New York premiere of the latest John Wick film. He is said to have had a guest appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show scheduled for next week. Reddick will arguably be best remembered for his role as Lt. Cedric Daniels on the hit HBO show The Wire. The actor enjoyed roles in blockbuster movies including Godzilla Vs. Kong and Angel Have Fallen. 

Born and raised in Baltimore, Lance earned a music degree from the University of Rochester and he got his MFA from Yale. Reddick was a spokesman in television commercials for Cree LED Bulbs.

Lance Reddick is married to Stephanie Reddick. The actor’s wife was the brains behind their low-key wedding in 2011. Lance Reddick and his wife Stephanie met in 1999 when she worked at the Guthrie Theater in her home state—Minnesota. Considering that Stephanie is from Minnesota and they met there, the California-based couple had their wedding in Minneapolis’ stunning Bar Lucrat. They were catered with sumptuous meals, with consideration for gluten-allergic guests.

The Wick Star’s wife praised the Venue of their wedding’s staff for adjusting to ensure she had the perfect day. “The staff changed everything around so I could walk down the stairs in the mezzanine,” the chuffed bride said.

She prefers to keep away from the spotlight despite occasionally appearing to support her movie star husband at Hollywood events. According to Amomama, Stephanie is a pro-human and supports groups of society living with challenges, such as the LGBTQ+ community.

Though Reddick’s wife lives a very private life unlike many celebrity spouses she does try to support the disadvantaged groups in society. Her Instagram account is private, yet the only information available to users without access to her profile is an LGBTQ Suicide Prevention Lifeline link on her bio. The actor’s wife also contributed to the #MeToo movement on Twitter. She wrote about how she was also violated by previously accused Robert Knepper in 1989.

The actor and his wife have also made lots of public appearances. On February 27, 2013, Stephanie was by her husband’s side at the “Phantom” premiere in Hollywood. Later that year, she attended the New York premiere of “White House Down” with her famous husband. The event was to promote the movie starring her husband and Zoë Kravitz’s once-alleged boyfriend, Channing Tatum. Though the cause of Lance Reddick’s death is currently unclear, TMZ who first broke the news said their law enforcement sources say it appears to be natural.
